What is Scleroderma?
Scleroderma (also known as Systemic Sclerosis, or SSc) is a rare condition where the immune system — your body’s natural defense — mistakenly attacks its own healthy cells. This is called an autoimmune disease. This causes the skin to become thick and tight, and can sometimes affect the blood vessels and internal organs. People with SSc may experience symptoms such as stiff or swollen joints, stomach and digestive problems, shortness of breath due to Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD), and high blood pressure.
The study medication is no cost for all participants. You also won’t need to pay for any study-related visits, lab tests, or procedures.
